hamsters

at the age of 13, maojia gets her first pets from her mom who had neglected her overwhelming desire for a cat or a dog. instead of getting her something that can make an audible sound, her mom prefers to give her something that is small and soft. And what can those two furry furry stuff that her mom got? well yeah, they're two hamsters. Squeak!
well to be frank my mom did not buy them, HOOHA! Everyone knows that my parents will never want anything alive and moving in the house except people. Hmph. in your face! these hamsters are definitely staying! My mom's boss' hamster gave birth to a lot a LOT of baby hamsters so she (i think it's a her!) gave my mom two of the small creatures. well that was certainly very VERY inconsiderate! these were the rules she violated:
1. you never NEVER give animal-fools an animal to look after,
2. it's WORSE if you gave them 2 animals to look after
3. you never leave the animals in the care of people who do not have the necessary equipments
4. you never NOT give them instructions about the pets
5. Especially with their money! (but we gladly love the hamsters so this don't count)
6. you never NOT tell them the sex of the hamsters! WHAT if THEY HAVE BABIES!?!!
so, you can see, my family and i are totally animal fools, sure my cousin has a dog, but this is a hamster! TWO hamsters! well, when my mom's boss gave it to her, she put them in a container that of which was used to store buckets of the honey roll that you eat during chinese new year. the one with the red lid. and then they were left there without water for 1/2 a day in an air-conditioned room.then she had to ship it bakc home from aljunied to the other end! gosh and to think that the MRT is sooooo squeezy at that peak hour! poor hamsters, oh and poor mom...
(Shame on you! haha, no no.)
so when she got home me and my cousin got so excited. well, me actually, nearly all of my friends have hamsters! hehe. hehehe. HEHEHEHE! Blub. then, the following events went in chronologically order:
1. we went to jurong point to get the cage
2. we came back
3. took 35 mins to fix up the cage
4. put up the beding, the wheel
5. took a while to decide who to carry the hamster in
6. looked in awe at the CRAZY hamsters who played non-stop on the wheel
the hamsters were very cute, but they sure were very VERY crazy. they played non-stop on the wheel. and i mean it, till about 12 am, and that was only when i fell asleep when we moved the cage to the kitchen. the wheel was making a creeky sound and it was loud. *toss and turn* *can't sleep* *yawns* Are they nocturnal or sth? if any of you know please tell me on the tagboard. much help to the begginer is appreciated. thank you.
Argh. today also dunno what happened to them. lay together, and sometimes on top of each other. put on wheel also run one round then go back to sleep. not even sure if it is sleeping. are they mating? NOOO! i am scared if they mate the female might eat the baby. ergh. horrible. dun even wanna think if they are one male one female. horrible. *Nightmares*
